Prototyping

A prototype is a question, not a deliverable: can someone get through this, and does it feel right? Building one costs days. Finding out after the real thing is built costs the quarter.

Where teams usually start

  • Everyone in the room agrees, and nobody has watched a person actually try it.
  • You need something for investors or a customer that behaves like the real product.
  • There are two ways to structure the flow, and the argument has no evidence in it.
  • Engineering wants a spec, and the honest answer is that the interaction has not been decided yet.

What the work covers

Clickable flows

The real screens in Figma, wired so someone can attempt the task without being guided through it.

Coded prototypes

When the question is about feel — a drag, a delay, real data — Figma cannot answer it, so we build the thing in code.

Built for testing

With the states a session will actually reach: empty, wrong input, nothing found. The happy path is the part that never fails in a test.

Demo builds

For a pitch or a sales call: complete enough to carry the story, and honest about what is not real yet.

From prototype to spec

The prototype becomes the annotated handover — states, transitions, edge cases — so what ships is what was tested.

AI-assisted builds

We use AI-assisted workflows to get a working version in front of people early, then decide what deserves engineering time.

How it runs

  1. We decide what it has to prove

A prototype that tries to show everything answers nothing. One question, and the fidelity that question needs — no more.

  2. Days, not sprints

A testable prototype is usually a matter of days. It only earns its place by answering sooner than the real build would.

  3. Put in front of people

Five to eight sessions, changing it between them. A prototype nobody used is an opinion with animation.

  4. Handed over as the spec

Annotated flows, states and edge cases, so engineering builds the version that survived the sessions.

What it costs

Two monthly subscriptions and a fixed-price option. Pause for up to two months or cancel with three weeks’ notice — the terms are the same whichever you pick.

Easy Tiger

UXBOX Company LTD

We are building easytiger.vn, Vietnam's only platform dedicated to helping people navigate the country's bureaucracy by connecting them with verified local experts. Built for AI agents, every expert profile is structured for AEO and GEO so answer engines surface them directly.

GoTeach

GoTeach Collective

GoTeach.vn is Vietnam’s first platform connecting private tutors and coaches with students. In just 3 months, we helped them validate their idea, design their brand, build the platform, and launch—aided by AI, low-code technology, and a localized go-to-market strategy.

Invoicing.mu

Netch Digital

Invoicing.mu aims to become Mauritius’s leading e-invoicing SaaS in terms of user experience and seamless onboarding. With new legislation pushing SMEs to adopt compliant digital invoicing, Invoicing.mu positions itself as the affordable, user-friendly solution businesses can trust.

Send us the flow you are unsure about.

Tell us what it has to prove and who would try it. That is usually enough to say what the prototype should be, and how long it takes.

Where this sits in our product plan

What is a prototype?

A version of the product that behaves enough like the real thing to answer a question — whether a flow works, whether an interaction feels right, whether a pitch lands. It is built to be thrown away, unless it turns out to be worth keeping.

Figma or code?

Figma for structure and flow, which is most of it. Code when the question is about feel, real data or performance — those are the questions a linked mockup cannot answer honestly.

Can the prototype become the product?

Sometimes. A coded prototype can be the start of an MVP, and we build MVPs that way. We will also tell you when it should be thrown away instead, which is more often than teams hope.

How long does one take?

Days for a clickable flow, one to two weeks for something coded and tested. If it takes longer than that, it has stopped being a prototype.

Do you test it with users as well?

Yes — a prototype nobody used is an opinion with animation. Recruiting, sessions and findings are part of the same engagement.

How much does prototyping cost?

It is part of the engagement rather than a separate line: Fractional is $4.2K a month, Full-time is $7.7K a month, and fixed-price projects start from $30K. The pricing page states all three in your own currency.
