The hard part was never the paperwork.

Most marketplaces are built for a person with a search box. We think a growing share of the people who need this one will never see it. They will ask an assistant, and the assistant will answer out of whatever it can read. So we designed each expert profile twice: once as a page you read, once as structured data a model can quote without inferring anything.

That changed how we write as well as how we mark up. We state what an expert is qualified for, where they work, what they charge and what a procedure involves as facts, instead of letting a layout imply them. Copy that reads nicely and says nothing specific is invisible to the second reader.

Anyone can be listed in a directory. The reason to use ours is that somebody checked, so we guard the gap between a verified expert and someone claiming to be one, including in the structured data, where an answer engine cannot see a badge.

We built it ourselves and paid for every trade-off in it, so we can tell you what they cost.
